My birthday babies

it's caleb's one month birthday! here he is sitting in his swing...

guess what? it's lilo's birthday too! happy 5th birthday, lilo!

caleb is one month old today. it's gone by so fast and he has changed so much. we had some pictures taken a couple weeks ago and yesterday we got to see the proofs. they turned out really cute. as soon as we get them back i'll send out his birth announcements.

over the last couple of days i've noticed a big improvement in how i feel physically. my pelvic pain comes and goes but it's gotten a lot better. i've also been able to sleep in bed instead of the couch for the last few nights. it's been nice. caleb is now able to take a bottle or the breast so i give him a bottle of breastmilk at night when he wakes up. it seems to be working out nicely since he drinks down a bottle in 10 minutes vs. 45 minutes on the boob. i have to sit him up for 30 minutes after he eats (because of his acid reflux) so the time saved on eating allows us both to get back to sleep sooner. i actually got a 4 hour block of sleep last night. i feel so much better when i get some sleep. i actually feel like myself instead of a zombie!

today is also my other baby's birthday. my fur baby (although she doesn't have much fur). it's lilo's 5th birthday. i can't believe we've had her for 5 years. she has been such a great dog and i love having her around. she loves to "help" with caleb and always lets me know when he needs a diaper change. she noses his butt after he poops and then looks at me as if to tell me to change his diaper. then she follows me to the changing table to supervise. she's such a good girl.
